Southlake Health Fair

Members of the Baylor Parent’s League and BSNA congregated outside of the Central Market in Southlake to lend a helping hand to over sixty members of the community! BSNA nursing students administered blood pressure checks and blood glucose readings for voluntary participants. Education materials provided included ‘Risks for Stroke’ and diabetes materials from the American Diabetes Association. Mrs. Bonnie Savoldi, BSNA advisor, presented information on ‘the Swine flu’ and Sara Lewis, BSNA publicity chair, presented on ‘Diabetes’ in the Central Market conference room to community members and leaders. The day was a success!  Once again BSNA and the Baylor Parent’s League have provided primary prevention to a local community members.
